The holiday season has many of us dressing up and heading out to socialize and renew unions which have waxed & waned during 2012. With the "new economy" phasing like the moon, it's important to focus on relationships which are the foundations of our community and personal lives. I remember having a conversation with a Portland business owner back in 2008. The advise which bloomed and still resonates from that conversation was:
"Profit is not money. It is people. Respect your customers and guests. Cherish your employees."
It's easy to loose sight of blessings when you're clutching your bottom line between your fingertips. Faith and remembrance need to intertwine to form hope. Hence, my point: where's hope? It's in the people who surround us. These may be more simpler times, but that doesn't need to impact the quality of time we can set aside and save toward to celebrate with the people who impact our world.
We've got an affordable entertainment line up for the holiday season. The kick off is with ThanksGiving! We're open from 1-10pm and ready to wake up "tired turkey eyed feasters". If there are kids running loops in your living room then send them down to the lanes for $Dollar$ Mania. $5 cover charge and then the bowling games, shoes and select food items are only $1.
I remember the snow flurries as a kid living in up state New York. They floated in wispy beats which took our family rituals from fall into winter. The YWCA has found the perfect event to herald in holiday season: The SnoBall. Every time these young ladies enter the lanes for this formal event, I think of snow flurries because the dresses are so fluffy, showy & a'sparkle with warm festivity. Town & Country Lanes is partnering again this year and rolling out the red carpet for singles and handsomely paired couples who are steppin' out on the town. Enjoy bowling under Moonglow and the swirlin', jazzie beat of Las Vegas Lights. Trevino's Mobile Music has mixed our tunes for the evening. $10 per person for 2 games and shoe rental which is a $1.75 savings from 2 games/shoes purchased at regular season rates.
The little Christmas child in me was moved to tears when I glimpsed the first float rounding the bend onto River Road in Keizer. The Festival of Lights Parade is now an annual hallmark for the residents of Keizer. Grab your kids, wrap up and claim your sidewalk seats. The merchants of River Road will be open to support your palette with savory treats. Warm your rosy cheeked kids with hot chocolate and take a moment or two to fill your own pockets with goodies. Santa will be kick'n around the crowd and may make an appearance earlier in the day at the lanes, so have your list ready! Follow this timeline: Family Bowling Special starts @ 3pm, the FOHL Family Run @6pm and the parade @7pm. Road closure is expected about 5pm so plan your routes. The Pin Deck Room in the bowling center is cooking up some evening specials to warm your belly and make jolly your roll~~~O_____*:*
Challenge the the gamers in your life to "level up" into another dimension. Add bowling to any exercise routine. Burn 240 calories per game and walk a mile when you bowl 3 games!
Last stop at the lanes until the twinkle of the Christmas tree! On Wednesday, 12/19 from 5-9pm join us for our Holiday Health & Vendor Fair. Follow your favorite venders: Minche, Paparazzi, Scentsy, Avon and Not Ristas to name a few. Facebook Laurie, https://www.facebook.com/laurie.regalado.5, to keep up on the venders at this event.
Grab hold of the Visalus 30 day challenge and add bowling to your exercise routine. Town & Country Lanes is sweetening the pot by giving Sunday bowling discounts to all new V~Challenge Participants. We've reduced Sunday bowling to $2.50 per game per person with a $2.50 shoe rental fee. Show your commitment contract which you get with your first V order and you're rolling into the New Year with hopefully "less" on your pocket side.
There's all of our holiday specials in a NutShell Report. Cherish your family and friends. Come in for a roll or two to build smiles which you can spend all season long. Cheerio~~~O_____*:*
